In December 2016, I wrote a post about the importance of charity and how it helps to make Christmas a season to be jolly for all. A few months following this(February 7th to be exact) I had a 1-1 consultation with Rob Lowe of the Giving Back Podcast, which really helped to bring this message of helping others home.
Before diving into what I got from the hour long consultation, let me give you some insight into how I even got a chance at the opportunity.
1.EOFire episode Rob Lowe 1563

Entrepreneurs On Fire(or EOFire) is a daily podcast where the host John Lee Dumas has insightful conversations with highly successful entrepreneurs. These chats vary in length but are usaully under 30 minutes and provide a great deal of value.
Towards the end of each of these episodes, guests provide their contact info and usually a free ebook or something of this nature. Episode 1563 was different, Rob Lowe in his value-centric episode, put out the opportunity of an F-R-E-E consultation for the first 25 people who wanted to provide value in their business (I’d later learn this would’ve cost me $1000!)
What did I do? of course, I signed up! even without a business in place.
2. What happened next?
I think within a few days of sending off my email request for the consultation I received an email from Rob Lowe asking for a brief background of myself / business. I sent it back essentially highlighting how I had a vision with inspirEnrich where I would empower creatives via the content I produce on the website, workshops, and podcasts.
Once all the formalities were out the way I had a date booked in, February 7th 2017. I was both apprehensive and excited at the same time. I thought to myself, this guy will just spew me some generic motivational jargon but hey its free so why not?
3. What I got from the conversation
As I mentioned earlier in the post the conversation lasted for about an hour. The key thing Rob helped me to do throughout was really zone in on my vision with inspirEnrich into one core area.
That area was geared towards building up a community of writers, overseeing in an editorial capacity. This, in turn, would help shape inspirEnrich.com as established online publication which has a steady stream of articles.
4. What’s happened since?
Prior to my conversation with Rob Lowe if you would’ve asked me what my vision was with inspirEnrich it would’ve been centered around me and my exposure
Whilst I love writing, I’ve realised that true lasting impact comes from a community. This is why I created the contribute page and try to be more open to the ideas of others.
Additionally, two of my friends have written two excellent posts which you can read below. I’ve also been told another one is in the works, which really is great.
How “Rich Dad Poor Dad” is helping me excel in life – Jakir
AI and The Stanford Ignite Experience, Jas Sidhu – Jasnam
I’m not really sure how I want to wrap this post up. What I have done is attached a video from Gary Vee which pretty much captures it.
Invest in the long term, giving back is important.
