Entrepreneurial Spark Immersion Day made Bitesized

Entrepreneurial Spark Immersion Day

Today, I attended the Entrepreneurial Spark Immersion Day and throughout the day I made notes on the key points which stuck in my head. Whilst making these notes (like with most things nowadays) I thought “hmmm this may make an interesting blog post”. Spurred on by the challenges of today I’ve opted for the #BitesizedTakeways category for this (a) not to give away to much of the day and (b) to make it a quick succinct read.

Who are “Entrepreneurial Spark”

The world’s largest free business accelerator for early stage and growing ventures, who operate across the UK and India. They have an ‘enablement’ process which lasts between 6 and 18 months which you can read in more detail on their about pageentrepreneurial-spark

Why did I opt for the Entrepreneurial Spark immersion day?

I made it my goal this year to throw myself into situations where I am forced to network more.  Not only to enhance the profile of inspirEnrich but also for my personal development skills in general.

Therefore, once I knew this opportunity was available and it was F-R-E-E there was no question I’d put my name down to attend.

My #BitesizedTakeaways from this day were:

Strategy
Disney Creative Strategy

Dreamer:
Ideas stage and free thinking.

Relist:
Drilling down on the practicality of your range of ideas,

Critic:
Further scrutinization on your ideas and planning,

Pitching
There is an art to pitching and its core it can be broken down into the following:

1. The hook
2. The problem
3.Your solution / Innovation( your unique selling point should be here)
4. Market size
5. Traction(what you have done so far)
6. Team
7. Risk awareness
8. The ask(what you want)
