Apologies for the delay with this one guys, the insights into this idea have been overdue for a little while. I’ve probably even over-engineered it, looking too much into how other people have done their Spotify and Apple Music playlists. Eitherway, this post is here to give you some background! 🙂
I’ll answer four questions and if you scroll to the bottom you’ll see the playlist has been embedded.
1. Why a playlist?
For those of you that have been following my content on this platform, you’ll notice my preference towards covering music. With such an influx of music, sometimes I miss projects due to other commitments/life, in general ha. What I’ve always done though is maintained different playlists for the different tempos and genres I listen to.
Over the last year or so I have started noticing large platforms curating playlists on Apple Music and Spotify as a means to further push their narratives. It made me think hmm well I already do this for personal use why not align it with inspirEnrich? I then read this post from Gary Vee on his Monday to Monday playlist and that’s what really sparked the creative process.
2. Why the name?
This was the hardest thing in the most process but definitely the most important. It took me at least two or three weeks to decide on something consulting with friends and family heavily for feedback. In the end, I decided on For The Mindset. I think this name aligns best with what I want to do and my overall goal with everything on the platform. In short, the songs should uplift your energy and in some case challenge thoughts.
3. Any other challenges?
3.1 The genres
I feel like a lot of the UK music which actually has some depth is overlooked. Therefore, I decided to focus the first four updates only on UK artists music (new and old). Post this I will look into more integration with the US or other places.
3.2 The track lengthÂ
I kind of wanted when you listen to the playlist it flows a bit like an album, top to bottom. So, for now, its limited to 15 tracks, people also mentioned they would be more likely to listen to all the tracks.
4. When and what platforms?
- My aim is to update this playlist every other Saturday, this doesn’t mean the whole list will be refreshed maybe a few songs(open to suggestions!)
- Where I cant update the playlist forgive me! but I’ll keep socials updated in this case
- The platforms are Apple Music and Spotify for now
I think that’s enough for now! so listen in and let me know your thoughts!
