Today’s video is a thought-provoking one from Tai Lopez which covers the area of dealing with conflict. I’ve chosen to bring this to our attention as we all experience conflict and dealing with it is challenging.
Outside of the ranting segments of the video, there are two main points of note which I will discuss at high-level:
Tit for Tat approach to conflict
In the initial segment of video Tai highlights how nowadays he entertains the hate he receives on Twitter. The positive in doing this is that being witty in scenarios like this is a way of keeping our brains sharp.
I don’t agree with that “tit for tat” sentiment, as fighting fire with fire doesn’t really resolve anything Tai even states in the video “Humans are naturally aggressive”. Also, that stance really goes against one of the 4 agreements, Be Impeccable With Your Word.
Ignorance is bliss
The second aspect of the video is conflict can make you stronger and you can use it for motivation. Tai sheds light on how Tom Brady’s sheer resilience in the face of defeat drove the patriots to success in the Super Bowl. This I feel is the better approach to have. not allowing the negativity to deter you from your game.
